I graduated from UCD in 2015 and began my career working with both large and small animals in North Wales. After returning home, I chose to focus exclusively on small animal practice. I joined the Mulcair Vets team in the summer of 2025 and can be found consulting or operating in both our Cappamore and Newport clinics. I have a particular interest in small animal dental care and recently completed additional qualifications in canine and feline dentistry. At home, I’m kept on my toes by my two enthusiastic dogs, Gary and Daisy, who love accompanying me to work, and our cat Ned—who firmly believes he runs the household! Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, running, swimming, and reading a good book.
I am from a dairy farm in Meelin, Co. Cork – the highest village in Ireland. I qualified in 2015. I like to follow all sorts of sports – except, as a proud Cork man, Limerick hurling! I have recently started rearing heifers on the home farm for the summer months.
I graduated from UCD in 2024. My interest in veterinary stemmed from growing up on a dairy farm in county Kerry. I’ve an interest in both small and large animal practice. In my free time I like to go rowing and hiking!
I am one of the large animal vets based in our Newport Clinic. A proud Wicklow man, I graduated in 2002 and immediately started working for Mulcair Vets in Newport. I have always had an interest in herd health and completed the Dairy Herd Health Certificate with UCD. Our family has 2 dogs Cluaisín and Poitín and two cats called Laoch and Diabhailín. I am very interested in local history, politics and all sports, particularly hurling.
I grew up on a dairy farm on the west coast of Clare.
I qualified from UCD in 2025.
In my spare time I enjoy meeting up with friends and going for walks with our Jack Russell Penny. I look forward to meeting everyone.
I am our Newport Companion Animal Vet. I qualified from UCD in 1998. I worked for two years at Mulcair Vets before working in small animal practice in Sheffield in 2001. Subsequently, I returned to Mulcair Veterinary Clinic where I have remained since. I became a partner in 2005. I live in Newport with my wife Natasha Mitchell (the Eyevet) and have lots of animals including dogs, cats, horses and cattle. I am originally from Cork, where my father was also a Veterinary Surgeon. I enjoy watching sport and gardening.
I graduated from UCD as a veterinary nurse in 2009. I worked in Clare Street Pet Clinic for many years, and I have been working with Mulcair veterinary clinic for the past 13 years. I grew up on a farm in Lackamore, Newport, Co Tipperary, where alongside my siblings helped my dad breed and show Pedigree Hereford Cattle. I have lived near my parents with my husband and daughter for the last nine years. I have two cats Dottie and Harry who are always full of fun and cuddles. I love looking after all the animals that pass through our doors on a daily basis and the variety that each day brings.
I trained as a Veterinary Nurse at City University of New York and worked for ten years at the ASPCA Emergency Hospital in Manhattan caring for sick and injured cats and dogs. During Covid 19, myself, my husband Fergus, along with our Border Collie Mellow, and our two cats Dottie Bonkers and Bluebear decided to return home to Ireland. Since our return, we have also adopted a younger brother for Mellow called Badger Boots. I grew up in Limerick, so it was an easy decision to move back to the area. I enjoy walking and running in my spare time, along with knitting jumpers for my cats and dogs!
I am originally from Co. Wicklow and qualified from UCD in 2019 as a Veterinary Nurse. I worked in many Small Animal Practices around the country before joining Mulcair Vets in 2024. My main interests include diagnostics and feline medicine, alongside nursing consults. In my spare time, I enjoy walking with my sidekick Collie, Mícheál, who sometimes joins me at work.
I’m a proud Donegal woman, with a passion for adventure and the outdoors. After working as a sound engineer, I followed my childhood dream to work with animals by returning to university as a mature student. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2023, started in Mulcair shortly after, and I haven’t looked back.

My dogs are family to me, and I would entrust their care only to the best. We are clients of Mulcair Vets for 15 years and have always received the very best medical advice and care – from the routine visits, through emergencies and the all-important support for the senior years. I love that our veterinary team know each of my dogs by name, are wonderfully friendly, kind and possess a superhero level of calm regardless of the situation. It’s so reassuring to know there’s help nearby, regardless of the day or hour.
Mulcair Veterinary Staff offer great support with any problems. Dogs, cats and cows; they have never let us down throughout the years! Friendly and helpful staff who always give good greetings with a smile. Anna & Tom.
The Mulcair Vets team are all very friendly, knowledgeable & make our dogs feel at ease when they are in. I would highly recommend Mulcair Vets for your animal needs-large or small !
Our cat “Hilly” is very fussy and shy. The whole team at Mulcair Vets make her visit a pleasant experience each time. I can’t recommend them enough!!!
The quality and ongoing progression of services brings animal welfare to a new level. Investment in staff, premises, facilities, and equipment show their commitment to offer the best outcome. There inhouse Pet Plans are very good, Billing is transparent, and pricing is competitive. All visits to a vet don’t have a happy ending and during these times Muclair staff give a kindness and empathy that’s really appreciated. We are very lucky to have this facility on the Tipperary limerick area.
1 have been a client of Mulcair Veterinary Clinic for nearly 29 years and the Veterinary care and treatment my dogs have received and continues to receive is outstanding. The Veterinary team and staff are amazing, friendly, caring, always willing to listen, answer any questions and ease your worries. The care and welfare of your pets is their top priority. I highly recommend Mulcair Veterinary Clinic as a practice that truly cares about the animals and their clients.
I cannot sing the praises of all the staff at Mulcair Vets enough. After my cat, Harlie, who is a beautiful Maine Coon ate some string and needed very serious surgery I was beyond worried. But the team’s expertise, compassion and dedication reassured me and my husband every step of the way. Not only did they save Harlie’s life but also supported us by allowing us to visit him during his recovery and provided amazing updates. The level of care and kindness they showed was extraordinary. Harlie is now back home, happy and healthy. And we cannot thank Ciara and the team enough
