Neutering
Neutering is a routine surgery performed under general anaesthetic, typically requiring just a day at our clinic. We recommend neutering your pup at around 6 months of age to increase their chances of a longer, healthier life. Please contact us to book your pup for neutering or for more information.

Common Excuses for Not Neutering
- “My dog will get fat or lazy”:
- Weight gain is due to overfeeding and lack of exercise, not neutering.
- “Shouldn’t a female dog have one litter first?”:
- There are no benefits; it poses health risks and finding homes for puppies is difficult.
- “Spaying and Neutering isn’t natural”:
- Domesticated animals depend on us, making us responsible for their well-being.
- “We can sell the litter and make money”:
- Raising a litter is costly, often consuming any potential profit.
- “I am concerned about my pet undergoing anaesthesia”:
- Modern anaesthetics are very safe; the health benefits of neutering outweigh the risks.
